By creating an account or using the Mind Spark mobile application and related services, you agree to these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

1. Introduction

Mind Spark ("we", "our", "the Platform") is an educational platform focused on mathematics and related subjects for students, with tools for instructors and parents/guardians.

These terms govern your use of the app, website, and educational content provided through our services.

2. User accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering (name, email, phone, grade, etc.).
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
Sharing one account between multiple users is not allowed.
Students may link a parent/guardian phone number so guardians can follow progress through the parent dashboard.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or misuse the Platform.

3. Educational content & certificates

Courses, lessons, homework, exams, and quizzes are for learning purposes only.
Progress, points, and certificates reflect activity on the Platform.
Certificates confirm completion of Platform requirements; they do not guarantee external accreditation unless explicitly stated on a specific program page.

4. Intellectual property

All content (videos, documents, questions, designs, logos) is owned by Mind Spark or its licensors.
You may not copy, record, redistribute, or resell content without written permission.
Screen recording or downloading materials for unauthorized sharing is prohibited.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Platform
Upload harmful, offensive, or illegal material
Harass instructors, students, or staff through chat or other channels
Use automated tools to scrape data or abuse quizzes/challenges
Misrepresent your identity or grade level

6. Privacy policy

6.1 Data we collect

Account: name, email, phone, grade/category, gender (optional), student type (online/offline)
Parent/guardian phone (for student accounts)
Learning activity: course progress, exam results, homework, points, attendance (where applicable)
Device: device identifier for account security on student devices, push notification token
Support communications

6.2 How we use data

Provide and improve educational services
Personalize content for your grade and subjects
Send important notifications (lesson updates, homework, announcements)
Parent dashboard: show linked children's progress to authorized guardians
Security, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting

6.3 Data sharing

We do not sell personal data.
We may share limited data with service providers who host our infrastructure (servers, notifications) under confidentiality obligations.
We may disclose information if required by law.

6.4 Data retention

Data is kept while your account is active and as needed for legitimate educational or legal purposes.
When you delete your account, personal data is deleted or anonymized according to our deletion process (see in-app Delete Account).

6.5 Children & parents

The Platform is designed for school-age students under parental/educational supervision.
Parents/guardians register with a phone number linked to their child's account.
Parents can view progress summaries; they do not receive passwords for student accounts beyond the login model defined by the Platform.

6.6 Your rights

Access and update profile information in the app
Request account deletion in the app (Settings / Dashboard → Delete Account)
Contact support for privacy questions

6.7 Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest.
No method of transmission is 100% secure; use a strong password and keep it private.

7. Limitation of liability

Mind Spark is not liable for academic outcomes; content is supplementary to school study.
We are not responsible for temporary outages, maintenance, or issues caused by your device or network.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited as allowed under applicable Egyptian law.

8. Service availability

We may update, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when possible.
Scheduled maintenance may temporarily limit access.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update these terms periodically.
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Material changes may be announced in-app or on this page.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Egyptian courts.
